Red Bull reveals fan-designed Miami Grand Prix F1 livery

Red Bull announced before the start of the season that it will use three sets of one-off livery to participate in the three American races of F1 2023 in Miami, Austin and Las Vegas, and set up a competition called Make Your Mark. Competition for car fans to design color schemes.

Argentina’s Martina Adriano created the winning design for this weekend’s second Miami Grand Prix.

The graphic design student incorporated pink, turquoise and purple lines—colors with strong ties to Miami—into the RB19’s sidepods, nose and front wings.

Her design was selected by a panel including team owner Christian Horner and several key partners in the Milton Keynes team, and will be raced throughout the weekend by Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.

“The Make Your Mark initiative is great; giving our fans the opportunity to influence our designs across three races in the US, something no other team can do,” said Horner.

“It’s important to the team to get our fans involved in what we do and give them such a unique opportunity. I think Martina is doing a great job and when you see it in real life, the uniform looks Unbelievable.

“The design keeps our spirit, but also brings Miami to RB19. When you see that car on the track, we definitely stand out.”

Adriano, who flew to Miami for the Red Bull weekend, says designing an F1 livery has been his lifelong dream.

“The moment I found out I had won, I was shocked and speechless, I couldn’t believe it – it felt like a crazy dream,” she said.

“When I started designing, I first thought about how the air flows through and through the car, and then how it moves and how fast it moves, and that’s where my inspiration comes from. Then, of course, I wanted to represent Miami and Miami The game so all of this is inspiration.

“Ever since I started my graphic design degree, I’ve wanted to design something for cars, like a livery, a suit or a helmet, and even before that I knew that one day I wanted to work in Formula 1, so starting from Red Bull was huge. thing.

“It’s going to be my first race, the car is going to be my design, I’m going to be in the garage. It’s going to be an amazing week.”

Fans of the F1 series can also race in Red Bull’s Miami livery at the upcoming F1 23 race, which has a launch date of June 16.
