The plan is part of Mercedes’ £70m investment in its infrastructure and staff, including the creation of pedestrian areas, as well as new marketing buildings, leisure facilities and restaurants to help improve the working environment for teams.
As well as development work at the main Brackley factory to boost its operational capacity, the team believes the new campus, which should be completed by the end of 2025, will help create something unparalleled in F1.
Team principal Toto Wolff told Autosport: “The Brackley campus was built to accommodate 350 people and today we have 1250.
“The campus has grown at an incredible pace over the past five years and now looks like an F1 team with modern state-of-the-art facilities.

“But what we plan to do is expand the campus with multiple new buildings, create a modern-style campus with lots of lounge areas, restaurants, a state-of-the-art gym, a new marketing building, and get all the cars out.
“We wanted it to be its own little village, with all the amenities and perks you’d expect from a Silicon Valley-style setting.”
Mercedes believes a key factor in ensuring F1’s long-term success is investing in people and the environment in which they operate.
So, as well as taking immediate steps to help staff, including a wage increase in 2023 in line with UK consumer inflation of around 10%, it sees the services provided by the Brackley plant as crucial.
Wolfe added: “All of this is clearly being done for our people. We’re not trying to win some kind of architectural award.

“It’s not like some of our competitors were doing 20 years ago, where you get lost and maybe put more emphasis on architecture. Here form follows function, not the other way around. Still, it’s all about creating a work and Great place for time.”
Mercedes has been working on 30 different projects on site to improve its facilities, having spent £40m so far and committing to a further £30m in the next phase.
Plant improvements will also incorporate all aspects of the team’s NetZero goal – to be powered by 100 percent renewable energy from on-site and off-site sources. A new car park will also include an on-site solar array.
Efforts are also being made to help develop the biodiversity of the area and to use only reusable and recycled materials for new buildings where possible. The new building will also be designed to meet the goal of recycling more than 60 percent of office waste.
Max Verstappen won the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix and now has more Grand Prix victories for Red Bull than Sebastian Vettel. The Dutchman’s brilliant final stage in qualifying saw him take pole position, but his superlong performance on the medium tyres, which was almost as impressive, gave him an easy win.
It didn’t seem to come, but after 50 of the 78 laps of the Monaco Grand Prix, it did: it started to rain. After a few laps, the rain started to fall heavily, and the slick tires could no longer continue driving. Drivers were skidding around corners everywhere, but miraculously, most managed to keep their cars clear of the crash barrier or keep going.
Josef Newgarden wins the Indy 500 in an intense final stage. There was a red flag, but the race restarted with one lap to go. Newgarden jumped at the chance and outmaneuvered Marcus Ericsson for the win, while Rinus Veekay crossed the finish line in tenth.
