Hamilton debunks Ferrari rumour: 'One person here started talking about it…'
It’s hardly a grand prix that Lewis Hamilton receives questions about renewing his contract (or not) with Mercedes. Last week, there were (again) rumors that the seven-time world champion could switch to Ferrari. There will even be an astronomical salary in return. Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff has denied the story, but the protagonist himself has yet to come forward.
The first red flag was the fact of qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix. Alexander Albon and Valtteri Bottas simultaneously slid into the gravel at different points on the track. Both drivers were able to keep going, but race control had waved the red flag.
