The 2022 Aston Martin Motorsport BRDC Young Driver of the Year joins 2021 winner Zack O’Sullivan as the latest addition to the Formula 1 team’s youth line-up.
Browning currently competes in Formula 3 for Hitech Pulse-Eight and is 10th in the drivers’ standings with 14 points, best finished fifth in Bahrain.
After his rookie season in F3, he enjoyed great success in 2022, where he was crowned GB3, also with Hitech to five wins and eight podiums.
Browning will work closely with the team on a personalized simulator program at the Grove factory and will join the team track during the Grand Prix.
He said: “I am really looking forward to being a part of the Williams Racing Academy. A big thank you to everyone at Williams Racing for giving them the opportunity to race for the stars.
“Being welcomed into this family is a dream come true and the legacy of this franchise is phenomenal. I can’t wait to see where we can go and where our journey begins.”

“He is an extremely talented driver with a number of major achievements already, including the 2022 Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award, the 2022 GB3 Championship and the 2020 British F4 Championship.
“Everyone at Williams Racing is looking forward to working closely with Luke throughout the year as he competes in FIA Formula 3 with Hitech Pulse-Eight.
“He will have the opportunity to develop his abilities while providing useful feedback by working on the simulator at Grove.”
Browning joins Prema F3 driver O’Sullivan, series returner Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport), Rodin Carlin F3 rookie Oliver Gray and Indy NXT driver and three-time W Series champion Jamie Chadwick.
Roy Nissany has been part of the Williams Junior Driver Program since 2020 and will be entering his fifth F2 season at PHM Racing in Charouz.
Previous members include Aston Martin F1 driver Lance Stroll, Williams F1 driver Logan Sargeant and former Williams F1 driver Nicholas Latifi.
